Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo West

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Airport in the morning drive to Tsavo west national park which is a less 6 hrs drive. You will arrive with short Game en-route to Kilanguni Serena safari lodge. Check in and have lunch. In the afternoon you will go for game drive tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species.

Day 2: Tsavo West – Tsavo East.

Early morning breakfast, after breakfast check out with game drive with a Visit to Mzima springs where you can see hippos and fish in a crystalline clear water. There are possibilities of seeing crocodiles and monkeys the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out of from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs, to the Shetani lava flows, after you depart Tsavo West for Tsavo East ( drive will be 3 hours to main gate ) which is renowned for its large numbers of elephants and the famous man eating lions. Day 3 Tsavo East Full Day Game

Early morning game drive return back to Lodge for breakfast. After breakfast Full day spend in the park with packed lunch. The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300 kilometer long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the tsavo east. Its popular residents like the well known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo and a visit to Aruba Dam. Later dinner and overnight at Ashnil Aruba Camp.

Day 4: Tsavo East – Salt Lick Taita Hills Sanctuary

Early morning game drive later you break for breakfast, After breakfast proceed with game en-route Leave Tsavo East for Salt lick Taita Hills Sanctuary which is less 3 Hrs drive.Taita Hills Sanctuary is sufficiently isolated to develop endemic forms and birders which come from afar to see the Taita Olive Thrush and the Taita White-eye. You will arrive around lunch time. lunch at Taita Hills Game Lodge. After lunch transfer to Sarova Salt lick game lodge. Later afternoon game drive until late in the evening.

Day 5: Taita Hills Sanctuary – Amboseli

Early morning game drive later you break for breakfast, After breakfast check out with game en-route Leave Taita Hills for Amboseli National Park which is less than 3 Hrs drive. You will arrive Amboseli with a short game drive in time for lunch, Check in at Oltukai Lodge have lunch and rest. Afternoon more game in Amboseli park which lies at the floors of Mount Kilimanjaro. Mount Kilimanjaro offers scenic backgrounds for photography. Elephants, Lions, Cheetah, Buffalo etc. can be seen at the swamp area and open plains. Later dinner and overnight at your Oltukai Lodge.

Day 6: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha

Early morning breakfast. After breakfast game en-route leave Amboseli for lake Naivasha a 5 Hrs drive. There will be a stop to view the great rift valley scenery as you proceed to Naivasha you will arrive time for lunch, Check in at Sopa Lodge Naivasha and have lunch, Later in the afternoon game drive with a visit to Hells Gate National Park which allows Hiking, Bicycling ride, Rock climbing and photography of wildlife and a visit to geothermal power plant. Later dinner and overnight at Sopa Lodge Naivasha.

Day 7: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru

Early morning, After breakfast around 08:30 am leave lake Naivasha or Nakuru A 1 hours drive to main gate, you will arrive with more game drive later you will proceed to your lodge for check inn and have lunch. check in at Sarova lion hill Lodge. later Afternoon game drive across the Pink Lake often referred so due to it’s Great masses of Flamingos but due to climate change only few flamingos can be seen, not forgetting the famous white Rhino and black rhino found in this park. Dinner and overnight at Sarova lion hill Lodge.

Day 8: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara

Day 9 : Maasai Mara

Early morning game drive and return to camp for breakfast. After breakfast Full day in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents, The Masai Mara plains are full of wildebeest during migration season early July to end September, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle are regularly seen, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes. Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara game reserve

0730hrs:Pick up from your Nairobi hotel / Nairobi airport
Proceed to the Masai Mara game reserve.
The drive to the Mara is via Kenya urban and rural settings that contrast dramatically as you progress towards the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Most of the drive to Masai Mara Game reserve shall be at the floors of the great rift valley and through Masai country.
During the afternoon, explore the Masai Mara on your first game viewing drive of safari.

Day 2: Masai mara game reserve – full day

Today shall be a game viewing extravaganza!

Masai Mara Game reserve remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the Natural world.
It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region.
The scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities.
We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game.
Picnic lunch shall be by the Mara river as we watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the great migration (July – October)

Today shall be spent exploring the Amboseli National park on unlimited game viewing drives.

Day 7: Amboseli -Tsavo west

The park is open and relatively small.
Game viewing drives are concentrated and wildlife easy to spot.
Mount Kilimanjaro mass provides wonderful back ground for photographic moments.
Later the safari tour proceeds to Tsavo West National Park.
Tsavo West is hilly and scraggy with scenic terrain and wonderful game viewing back grounds.

Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdares

After an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the hotel, you will be leaving Nairobi for the Aberdares. You will arrive there, go for a short game drive and check in to the Ark Hotel in time for lunch then get some time to relax. In the afternoon you will be taken for a game drive across the Aberdares Park and taken back to the hotel.

 

Day 2: Aberdares – Samburu

On Day 2, after an early breakfast at the hotel and a short game drive you will leave Aberdare for Samburu driven past Mt Kenya and the Equator to Samburu National Reserve National Park. You will be checked in to the Sopa Lodge and have lunch. After some rest you will be taken for game drive. This Reserve is home to the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich among others.

Day 4: Samburu – Sweetwaters

On the fourth day, after an early morning breakfast you will be taken for a game drive as you leave Samburu for Sweet Water and will arrive in time for lunch and be checked in to the Sweet Waters Luxury Tented Camp, Sweet-water’s is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. Sweet Waters is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area. You will go for a game drive in the afternoon across the Park.

 

Day 5: Sweetwaters – Lake Nakuru National Park

On day 5, after an early morning breakfast and a quick game drive you will leave the Aberdares en-route to Lake Nakuru where you will arrive in time for lunch and check in at the Lake Nakuru Lodge and relax. In the afternoon you will be taken for a game drive and see one of the largest ornithological spots, with Flamingo, and a variety of wildlife especially the famous White Rhino and Black Rhino which are found in this park.

 

Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

On the sixth day, early in the morning you will be picked from your hotel and be driven to Masai Mara Masai Mara is regarded as Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve. Once you arrive in the Mara, you will be checked in to the rustic Sentrim Luxury Tented Camp or Sopa Lodge. Afternoon Game drives

 

Day 7: Masai Mara National Reserve

You will taken for game drives in the vast grassland plains of the park, which will give you the opportunity to see wildlife such as the Zebra, Giraffe, Gazelle, and Topi which you find in herds scattered along the plains. You will also get to see Cheetahs and the Big Five – the Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino among others. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided at the lodge/camp.

 

Day 8: Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

Day 1: Nairobi –  Aberdare National Park

Our adventure begins with a lovely drive to Aberdare National Park. We stop for pictures along the way as we travel overland through plantations of coffee and tea to The Aberdare Country Club, nestled on the slopes of Mweiga Hill.

After lunch and afternoon high tea, set off for the Ark tree lodge, located in the forest on mountain slopes of the Aberdare Mountains at 7,000 feet.

This outstanding lodge offers high altitude game viewing, including animals that are rarely encountered elsewhere: giant forest hog, bush pig, tree hyrax, large spotted genet, and the elusive bongo.

Wildlife can be observed from different levels – and from outside where you can see, hear and smell everything and inside where you can sit with a cup of tea and stay warm and cozy.

Day 2: Aberdare–  Samburu Game Reserve

This morning we travel by road to Kenya’s northern frontier. Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River.

It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy’s zebras and Beisa Oryxes.

We also enjoy Larsens Tented Camp or Samburu Intrepids Camp, our luxurious hostelry set beneath a canopy of acacia trees along the banks of the river.

Day 3: Explore Samburu Game Reserve

Dawn breaks in golden bands as we start our day in the bush by scanning the river from our tent’s veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand.

Before the dew is off the grass, we’re off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands.

And so the day is spent in alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush and relaxation in our cozy Camp/ Lodge.

Day 4 : Samburu –  Lake Baringo

Drive across the Northern Frontier District to Lake Baringo, a fresh water Rift Valley lake, famous for its magnificent bird life.

Lake Baringo is well known for two of its waters’ residents–Hippo and Crocodile. Hippos are seen in the lake on boat trips, and at Lakeside lodges and camps.

They are seen also seen at night grazing the lawns.

Day 5: Lake Baringo – Lake Nakuru National Park

Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch an exciting game run is planned for the afternoon.

The game in this Park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch.

The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru –  Maasai Mara Game Reserve

This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino.

Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run.

The Mara Game Reserve one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park’s are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles.

Day 7: Discover Maasai Mara National Reserve
The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.

During our stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Maasai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals.

A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

Day 8: Masai Mara – Nairobi

Morning game drive to savour the beauty of the park, return to lodge for breakfast. After, depart for Nairobi by road arriving late in the afternoon.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu

This morning you will be picked up from the airport or your Nairobi hotel and depart for Samburu Game reserve to arrive in time for lunch. You will have time at leisure before an evening game drive from 1600hrs until sunset.

Day 2: Full Day Samburu Game Reserve

You will have a full day in Samburu with a 0630hrs morning game drive, return to the camp for breakfast. You will have time at leisure after lunch then afterwards at 1600hrs, depart for an evening game drive till dusk. Optional activities include a visit to a Samburu Cultural Village at an extra cost.

Day 3: Samburu – Aberdare National Park

You will have breakfast and thereafter depart for Aberdare National Park arriving in good time for lunch at Aberdare Country Club the base hotel for The Ark Lodge. After lunch you will be transferred to The Ark for game viewing and overnight with the lodge vehicle. In the afternoon, you will have time at leisure game viewing from the balcony of the lodge for the animals that comes around the waterholes until evening. Note- you only need a soft bag with overnight essential. The other bags will be left at the Aberdare Country Club. You will also say goodbye to your guide since you will not be seeing them until next morning as the lodge driver guides take charge.

Day 4: Aberdare – Lake Nakuru

You will have morning tea at 0630hrs before being transferred to the base hotel for breakfast and thereafter connect with your driver guide for Lake Nakuru National Park. En route you will have picnic stop over at the Thomson Fall and the Equator before proceeding to the park and arriving in time for lunch. Later after time at leisure, you will have an evening game drive form 1600hrs returning to the Lodge after sunset.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

0730hrs, after breakfast, you will depart to Maasai Mara driving further through the Great Rift Valley to arrive in time for lunch. You will proceed with an evening game drive from 1600hrs until sunset en route to your overnight lodge.

Day 6: Full Day Masai Mara Game Reserve

You will explore the Mara with a morning game drive and an afternoon game drive at 1600hrs. All meals at the lodge with leisure time between the game drives. Optional extra cost activities include a visit to the Maasai Boma for their culture, an early morning balloon flight than ends with a champagne breakfast on landing and or a night game drive.

Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi

You will have breakfast and thereafter have a leisurely drive to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. On arrival you will have lunch (own arrangement) before being dropped off at your pick up point or transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
